BEST ORGANIZED TOUR -- We decided to travel to Nepal because it is a country with a very rich culture in different types of religions and types of life. For us it is a great contrast with our western customs, and we thought at the time that it was a good destination to be able to get closer to these cultures. In fact, Esther had wanted to get to know the country in a close way for a long time. The main interests we had on this trip was to learn more about the Hindu and Buddhist religions, and to be able to have direct and first-hand contact, being such an important country in this regard. Alternatively, we also found this trip very attractive because it not only included visits to culturally relevant cities and towns, but also, we had the option of doing small trekkings through the mountains near the Anapurnas, which we love, since we appreciate it very much. Nature and especially hiking in the mountains. Afterwards, we also found it very attractive to be able to visit the jungle and be close to the wildlife. Regarding the organization of the trip, we were lucky to have a guide who was always very close and attentive, Laxmi. We were able to travel with him and the driver in a car that was at our disposal during the 15 days of the trip, which made the trip, if possible, more enjoyable and interesting, since we could enjoy, as I say, the Better explanations and details from Laxmi, since the group was not completed and only the two of us traveled. We especially want to highlight the explanations received during the visit to the city of Kathmandu, and the temples, monuments and buildings of said city. We were able to know first-hand one of the most impressive cultures in the world, the Hindu, and ancient cities that are still in full splendor today. In the same way, we had the opportunity to visit a Buddhist monastery, where we were able to sleep and share the prayers and customs of its students in a very close way. Throughout the trip we had the opportunity to do several trekkings, with the bad luck of always suffering the ravages of the monsoon that affected the country during the days of our visit (August). This made these trekkings heavy and somewhat difficult, since we always had to walk in the rain and be protected with raincoats. It is quite a shame, since we had a special illusion to enjoy the Nature of this splendid country, but it could not be. Perhaps in this regard if you could reproach the tour organization for not anticipating the fact of having alternatives to the rain, since we did not think it was a very good idea to go for a walk for so many hours with such incessant rain. We hoped we could take a good memory of the mountains of Nepal with us, but time prevented us. After all our journey, visiting lost villages, temples, monuments and cities, we moved to the Chitwan jungle, passing before the famous Pohkara Lakes, where we could visit the tourist area on the shore of the lake and tour the old part of the same city. Once in Chitwan, and still being affected by the rain, we were able to make a visit to the jungle accompanied by two guides from the area, get to know the ethnic groups and learn about the natural life of elephants, something that was very important to us. The rain spoiled our plans a bit again, but finally we were even able to do the elephant bath and the geep safari. we were also able to attend a splendid performance of traditional dances and music in the Chitwan area. We will definitely have to come back in a better time to be able to trek through the mountains of Nepal, in good condition, and see our friend Laxmi again.
