Day 01: ARRIVE PARO
Meeting & assistance on arrival and transfer to the hotel. Evening take a stroll around Paro market and town. Overnight Hotel Olathang or similar, Paro.
Day 02: PARO
Morning visit Drukgyel Dzong (dzong = fortress/monastery), the ruined fortress from where Bhutanese repelled several invasion by Tibetan armies. On a clear day, there is splendid view of Mt. Chomolhari from the approach road to this Dzong. Later visit Ta Dzong (National Museum) and then walk down the trail to visit Rinpung Dzong, the fortress which has a long and fascinating history. Evening visit to Kyichu Lhakhang (lhakhang = temple). Overnight Hotel Olathang or similar, Paro.
Day 03: PARO / THIMPHU (55 KM, 2 HOURS)
Morning drive to Thimphu en route visit Simtokha Dzong, the oldest fortress of the Kingdom which now houses the School for religious and cultural studies. Afternoon free for shopping and leisure. Overnight Hotel Motithang or similar, Thimphu.
Day 04: THIMPHU
Morning drive to BBS Tower for fascinating view of Thimphu valley and later visit Mini zoo, Anim Dratshang (nunnery), National Library, Handmade Paper factory & Memorial Chorten (stupa). Afternoon, as the time permits, visit to School of Arts & Crafts, Textile & Folk Heritage Museum, Zangtho Pelri Lhakahng (lhakhang = temple) and Handicrafts Emporium. Overnight Hotel Motithang or similar, Thimphu.
Day 05: THIMPHU – TRONGSA (200 KM, 6 HOURS)
Morning drive to Trongsa taking a short stop at Dochula pass (3,080m) that heralds the most enchanting views of Bhutan. Drive further via Wangduephodrang town visiting here Dzong and local market. Further en route cross Pelela pass (3,300m) pass. In the evening, visit to Trongsa Dzong and Ta Dzong (watch tower). Overnight Sherubling Lodge or similar, Trongsa.
Day 06: TRONGSA – BUMTHANG (68 KM, 3 HOURS)
Early morning transfer to Bumthang. On the way stop at Zungney village to look at production of Yathra cloths Afternoon visit Jampa Lhakhang, Kurjey Lhakhang, Chakhar Lhakhang and the Wangdichholing palace near the hotel. Overnight Hotel Wangdichholing or similar, Bumthang.
Day 07: BUMTHANG
Explore fascinating Bumthang valley visiting Swiss farm house ( walk or hike around), Tamshing Lhakhang, Konchogsum Lhakhang and Jakar Dzong. Overnight Hotel Wangdichholing or similar, Bumthang.
Day 08: BUMTHANG – PUNAKHA (205 KM, 7 HOURS)
Morning transfer to Punakha. Later sightseeing of Punakha Dzong and town . Overnight Hotel Zangtho Pelri or similar, Punakha.
Day 09: PUNAKHA
Day at leisure in beautiful Punakha valley. Overnight at Hotel Zangtho Pelri or similar, Punakha
Day 10: PUNAKHA -PARO(125KM,4.1/2 HOURS)
Morning transfer to Paro. Afternoon visit Paro local market and a traditional farm house. Overnight at Hotel Olathang or similar, Paro.
Day 11: DEPART PARO
Morning transfer to the airport for flight to onward destination

Important Notes
-- The above packages are inclusive of all local taxes applicable in Bhutan.

in Trongsa, Wangdichholing Lodge in Bumthang and Hotel Namgay in Phuentsholing.
-- Incase of non-availability of rooms in these hotels, the accommodation would be provided in alternate similar standard hotels.

-- No cancellation charges will be levied in case of Druk-Air flight cancellation

Bhutan Visa :
All visitors traveling to Bhutan are required to obtain a visa and it is processed and arranged by the local tour operators. No foreign mission grants Bhutan tourist visa.
Visa Fee : US $20.00 Per Person [ Further Visa Extension Fee US $15.00 ].
Process :
Visa applications must reach Bhutan at least three weeks prior to your arrival date to allow time for processing. The first visa permit will be issued to you through your travel / tour operator. The actual Bhutan Visa will be stamped on your passport on arrival on Paro airport.
For all travelers, entering into the country by road through Phuntsholing (border town in the south of Bhutan), the visa is stamped on arrival at Phuntsholing.
Getting Into Bhutan :
A traveler , FIT and the group tourists can enter Bhutan in two ways : They are :
*** By Druk Air :
The best way to enter Bhutan is by Druk Air, the national air carrier of Bhutan. The following cities are connected to the airport at Paro in Bhutan with Druk Air flights :
-- INDIA : Delhi ( DEL), Kolkotta (CCU) & Gaya (GAY)
-- NEPAL: Kathmandu ( KTM)
-- BANGLADESH : Dhaka ( DAC)
-- THAILAND : Bangkok (BKK)
Druk Air is the only airline operating in Bhutan. As Druk Air flights may be delayed because of weather in the monsoon (July & August), it is advisable to keep a 24-hour gap before any onward international connections.
** By Overland :
If you wish to enter Bhutan by overland then there is 1 entry point and 2 exit points:
Phuntsholing : Both Entry And Exit Point
You can enter/exit Bhutan overland from the Indian state of West Bengal into Phuntsholing, border town in southwest of Bhutan. Four hours drive from Phuntsholing will take you to Bagdogra in the state of West Bengal (India) which is the nearest airport from Phuntsholing. Phuntsholing serves as a convenient point for the travelers wishing to visit the Indian states of Sikkim, West Bengal along with Bhutan. The drive from Phuntsholing to Thimphu takes six hours.
Samdrup Jongkhar : Exit Point Only
Samdrup Jongkhar is in southeast, 110 km from Guwahati, India, which is nearest to the Guwahati Airport. From Guwahati, you may fly into other Indian cities like Delhi, Mumbai or Kolkata and to your onward flight connections. This exit is more convenient if the travelers do not wish to travel back the same lateral route to Paro for the flights and who would like to combine Assam trips with Bhutan.
