Hiking Itinerary ::
DAY 01
:: MEETING AT
HOTEL & DRIVE
TO THE TREK STARTING
POINT
At around 07:30 AM , your trek guide
will meet & greet you at the hotel’s reception. After a brief introduction
on a day return hiking program, a private
vehicle will transfer you from the hotel to the trek stating point . Drive to Godavari. ( 20 Km / 45 minutes ).
Once you will arrive at Godavari, you will start up the journey on foot. After
a moderate trekking of 3 hours up hill ,
you will arrive on the hill top of Phul Chowki. Enjoy the panoramic view
of Kathmandu Valley and the northern
Himalayas .
( A packed lunch box will be served
during the hiking ). A traditional village settlements, different
species of birds & butterflies , vegetations
, waterfalls will attract your attention during the hiking trip.
After a good rest at the hill top, trek downhill. As you will arrive at the
foot hill, get transferred to the hotel. ( End of Day Hiking ).

NEPAL TOURIST VISA
-- The “Tribhuvan International Airport “ ( TIA ) is the only international
airport of Nepal from where the Immigration Office grants the Tourist Visa on Arrival for
the tourists
flying to Nepal .
-- Though you can expect some queues
during peak Tourist season, the “On Arrival ' visa procedure is very quick and
simple.
-- If you wish to skip those queues, you
can also consider getting Visa from Nepalese Diplomatic Missions stationed
abroad prior to your arrival.
-- If you have obtained visa from
Nepalese Diplomatic Missions in abroad , then you must enter Nepal within six
months from the visa issued date. Your total stay
is counted starting from the
day you enter into Nepal.
-- Visas obtained on Arrival at the
Entry and Exit points are 'Tourist Visas'.
They bear multiple Re entry facility. Tourist Visa 'On Arrival' is the
only entry visa to Nepal.

Extension Fee ::
-- Tourist
visa extension is done for minimum 15 days with USD 45 and USD 3 per day for
additional days. In the case of delay less than 150 days additional
USD 5 per day as late fine.
-- Contact Department of Immigration for
extending your visa or changing the category of your visa.
-- Tourist Visa extension can be done
from Immigration Office, Pokhara too.
-- Non tourist visa extension can be
done only at Department of Immigration (if eligible) for a period of maximum
one year (except business visa).
IMPORTANT NOTE ::-
-- If you are visiting Nepal for the
purposes other than Tourism (sightseeing, tour, travel, mountaineering,
trekking, visiting friends
and families), you
should still get ' Tourist Visa' to get into the country. However, you must
change the category of visa as per
your purpose and length of stay in
Nepal from Department of Immigration by producing required documents.

requested to acquire Visa prior their arrival from their nearby Diplomatic missions
( Embassies / consulates ) of Nepal

J All the destinations in this trip are below two thousand meters from the sea level and so is totally free from the risk of the high altitude sickness.
INTRODUCTION ::
Phulchowki
is the highest
hill among the
surrounding hills of
Kathmandu valley.
The hill top here has an elevation of 2,782
meters and is located to the
southern rim of
Kathmandu valley. The up hill trail to
Phulchowki passes through a sub - tropical thick forest
of
oak & rhododendron
and is filled with several species of orchids, wild roses,
yellow jasmine, iris and other native flowers. Since ,a wide variety of bird and butterfly species are
available here , the hill site is also
becoming a popular bird watching
point situated near Kathmandu.
Once you are on the hill
top , you can see a breathtaking view of the city settlements of Kathmandu & Patan
districts . On a clear sky day, you will view the snow peaks ranging from the Mt. Annapurna ( north-west) to Mt.
Gaurishanker ( north –east ).
On the top hill location , there is a Hindu shrine dedicated to goddess
“ Phulchowki Mai”.
She is the guardian deity of this hill. The Hindu devotees
visit here during a month long annual festival that is observed on the full moon days in July and August every
year.
A large fleet of Nepalese trekkers do visit on the hill top during the winter
season to see & enjoy a heavy snow falls here in the forested hill of Phulchowki. The hill top here is also a popular spot for Picnic and social gathering with a merry celebration of
feast.
On the way back, after the hiking one can optionally take a visit to the
“Godavari Botanical Garden” and a natural water fountain and a pond , both
situated at the foothill of Phulchowki. The spot is also a famous site for the
picnic celebration for the people during public holidays.
